Water Quality Investigations
Water quality is a critical measure of the resource. The suitability of water for beneficial uses is controlled by its quality. Cleath-Harris Geologists offers a wide range of water quality investigation capabilities. Most of our groundwater projects involve testing and interpreting water quality parameters, which range from simple irrigation suitability to comprehensive suites of regulated Title 22 drinking water constituents and emerging contaminants. We provide water quality sampling and interpretation for investigating water sources using stable isotopes of nitrate and oxygen/deuterium, trace elements, and radio-carbon age dating.
We also perform studies on potential salt and nitrate loading impacts to soil and groundwater from reclaimed water, fertilizer, and biosolids applications to land. These studies include analyses of soil and water samples, applied water quality and water mixing calculations, assimilation capacity calculations, and environmental fate considerations. We maintain in-house water quality databases using AquaChem analytical and water quality management software. |
